Frobes has released the “Frobes Most Powerful Women of the year 2023” list. This definitive list celebrates the remarkable achievements of inspirational female leaders across various sectors, including CEOs, entertainers, politicians, philanthropists, and policy makers, all of whom are shaping and influencing the world in unprecedented ways.
For the second consecutive year, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, claims the top spot in the list of “Frobes Most Powerful Women of the year“. Following closely are Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, maintaining their positions at numbers two and three, respectively.
Breaking new ground this year is American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who secures the fifth spot. This marks a historic moment as the first time an entertainer has entered the top five. Swift’s meteoric rise from No. 79 in 2022 is attributed to her extraordinary accomplishments, including joining the billionaires club in October with a net worth of $1.1 billion. Her global Eras tour, a record-breaking success, significantly contributed to the U.S. economy, with the U.S. Travel Association estimating an additional $5 billion to state economies.
