Aakash Chopra, expressing his views on his YouTube channel, raised questions about Australia’s motivation to win the series. Aakash Chopra suggested that the Australian team may be somewhat emotionally drained after their ODI World Cup triumph.
“The Australian team needs to step up, but the pressing question is – do they truly have the desire to win? Are they here with the intention of securing victory? ‘What else are you here for?’ – it brings to mind Kapil paaji (Dev). There are reports of reinforcements being sent for Australia. It seems they might be dealing with some emotional fatigue following their World Cup win.”
In the second T20I clash at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on November 26th, India secured a commanding 44-run victory over Australia. The triumph was fueled by stellar half-centuries from India’s top-order batsmen Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ishan Kishan, propelling India to their highest T20 score against Australia at 235-4. Despite Australia’s efforts, they concluded at 191-9 after 20 overs.
